MPAY - My pincushion(s)

Vic's posting sent me into a searching frenzy. I know they are somewhere, I know I wouldn't throw them out!!!

Two pincushions made for me many years ago by my children. Why is it that everyone seems to make a strawberry pincushion? Here they are and the strawberry even has pins in it!

P.S Came across these fabulous pincushions on my favourite shopping site Etsy

  1. Ahahahaha... see?! They totally just hang around!

I don't know what's with the strawberry (or tomato) pin cushion thing either... there has to be some reason, surely?

Thanks for joining in this week! I'm totally hoping to find someone with a voodoo doll pincushion...

  2. Maybe it's because they are simple and effective?

  3. I'm sure I have a magazine somewhere here with an article about why the tomato is traditional. Bet I couldn't find it though!

  4. Aah yes the strawberry pincushion .
Nice to find you here x

  5. Oh the strawberry is cute...I don't think I've ever seen one before! I have recently made some pears! they were fun! thanks for sharing!

  6. I remember making a strawberry pin cushion at school. Wonder where it is now!

  7. Oh i just love those pin-cushions so cute! just love things made by children, so special.

Thanks for calling in. I love reading your comments and I always try to respond either by email or through the blog. Enjoy!
