I went for a wander around my very neglected garden today and found myself forgiven as the plants are thriving and showing their Spring colours. I also had a surprise or should that be surprised visitor!

Eggs and bacon (are they narcissus?), love them! The fresias smell amazing and the grevillea is so beautiful. The daffodils have almost finished and this on is about the last.
These irises used to be blue! What happened?? The flowering cherry is from next door, just a mass of blossum at the moment
These coloured fresias are second year in the pot and still doing well although hope I get a few more flowers. The leucadendron is spectacular this year and love the lavendar beside it.

This afternoon I received a visitor, must be a new kid on the block as I have never seen him before but he obviously felt very at home and was very astonished that I should actually live here! He even let me pat him.

Busy weekend and the weather was great!

On Saturday, the Roulettes Flying team performed over Hobart. At the time I was sitting in the sun on a friend's back deck so had a great view. The sun wasn't kind to my photo taking though :(

Sunday was garden day, well so was Saturday but even more done on Sunday. I needed to get the green waste ready for removal by the guys on Monday, can't disappoint them!

Believe it or not but most of the weeds came from this front garden bed!

Visits to friends, time in the garden and a visit to the accountant to get my tax refund made my weekend very enjoyable, how was yours?
P.S Brian the chocolate chip biscuits were delish!

More Garden photos

Just playing with a collage maker on my phone using some photos I took at the Tasmanian Botanical Gardens on Sunday. This one is called Photo Grid. Very easy to use.

More orchids although the top photo is very cute lacey peas, definitely going to be a bumper crop

Botanical Gardens

I had a lovely walk around the Tasmanian Botanical Gardens today with my friend Marie. Just look how beautiful the flowers are!

Rhododendrons and magnolias.

Pete's patch

This carousel is in the gardens, beautiful horses but made me dizzy just looking at it.

This is the view I had when I woke this morning. No wonder I was cold last night.
{excuse the power lines *sigh*}

{Back again} Half an hour later this lovely rainbow....
{then at 10:30am}
The rainbow right across the sky - are we back to winter??

It has to be a record!

For me anyway, probably partly due to that slave driver who kept me at it day and night BUT this week I finished FIVE (5) projects + a hexy. How about that!
First some more photos from our fantastic day on Saturday at the Cherry Shed.
Here are all the ladies hard at work.

Not really sure that they were all hard at work :) but I know Roseanne was - here is a photo I took of her project.
Sorry I didn't get more but I was hard at work *innocent smile*.
Here is my produce, partly from the weekend and partly from this week.
First of all {the secret gift} so only a glimpse of this.

Then a cute little lunch bag - don't you just love the rabbit button.
 Then because Vicki thought I hadn't worked hard enough I had to do this case for my phone....I love it Vicki and use it all the time. Complete with another button I purchased in Sydney at the button shop in the Rocks - if you keep something long enough it will come in handy.
 Love the pocket on the side, it is a fantastic pattern, but I won't tell you how many times I unpicked it, seems it was my week for unpicking.

 Then just because this honey bun roll was sitting in my drawer, slowly being used in applique, but I thought it needed to be used for a larger project because the fabric is so pretty.....I made a small bag and a larger bag.

 Here they all are together, what  a gorgeous stash. Notice the {the secret gift} stategically placed at the bottom of the pile.
 And here is the poor lone hexy I did, put together after the long drive up to Burnie on Friday night. Not sure if it was the champagne but I thought I would get a lot more done!
