25 years!
I know I have been a bit MIA around here lately but have just jumped on to display the lovely gift I have been given today to celebrate 25 years (really 27 but who is counting) of service to Tasmanian students and teachers.
I have been very privileged to work with some lovely people over all these years and have made some lifelong friends that I would not have known otherwise(including Vicki!). I won't mention all the others as they are non-bloggers but they know how much their friendship means to me.
I was very touched by the beautiful words read out about me:
Elizabeth has given dedicated and exemplary
service in the field of eLearning support since the earliest initiatives in
this area in the Department. She has a well-earned reputation among teachers
and colleagues across the agency for knowledge, skills and expertise in a wide
range of learning technologies and importantly in being able to think outside
the square to solve problems. She is totally committed to supporting teachers
to use online learning to improve student learning outcomes and achieves this
through respectful professional relationships based on trust. She is currently
working in Curriculum Services supporting the implementation of the Australian
Curriculum.
The presentations were made by the Secretary of our Department and here is my gift. I love it!
How cool is that! There were so many people there who I knew including a (second) cousin I haven't seen in years but went to high school together Oh by the way the presentations were at the beautiful Baha'i Centre of Learning.
Now I have also been working hard and doing lots of sewing so I will pop back tomorrow after I have stopped celebrating to show you everything I have been doing....promise lol.
It looks absolutely beautiful and so representative of Tasmanian timbers. Such a nice precise of your career, though it doesn't encompass all the warm support you have given all your colleagues over the years, thank you. Sue
